What are the entry requirements? 
The course is open to graduates of TCM with a minimum of 02-years completed training in Acupuncture and/or Herbal medicine.  Proof of qualification  required.

We have specific departures for recent graduates only, we also run Advanced group departures for those who have been in practice for a number of years and would like to absorb themselves in a new environment to further explore Traditional Medicine in Vietnam for new ideas and skill development. The departure for 2015 was March (Full) - the next Advanced group will be later in 2016 Please email us for further details.


Are all programs taught in English? 
At least 75% of the lectures and clinical experience are with English speaking doctors, a translator is provided for the remainder. For Herbal medicine students, many herbs are of Vietnamese origin - however, we have full translation with our expert between Chinese-Vietnamese-English and v.v.

How long is my trip? 

The length of study is 03 weeks  in total, Monday to Friday at the hospital with weekends free to explore. The full trip lasts 21 days. Extensions of stay and continued study may also be possible, please contact us for further details.

What hours do I work in the hospital and clinical settings?  
Your days in the hospital are Monday to Friday. Your weekends are free to explore the beautiful city of Hanoi, or take a trip to one of the stunning must-see hot-spots Northern Vietnam has to offer.


What recognition do I receive on completion of the course?   An award ceremony will take place on your final afternoon at the hospital, where the 
Director of the Hospital and team will present you with a beautiful.

How many places are available?
Places are limited, our group sizes have been kept to an absolute maximum, ensuring the most effective learning possible. We have a maximum of 4 students per group - applicable within the hospital(s) parts of the program. So 4 students permitted on a ward on any given day, with a maximum of 2 additional groups within the hospital at any given period.  We work across several venues in Northern Vietnam, to give you the most rounded and varied experience possible, hence we are are very careful to ensure the best experience awaits all AcuVietnam students.

You will be taught by Vietnam’s finest in the field. It is a truly hands-on experience, learning new techniques and enhancing existing skills to a whole new level.

Our program content has been carefully crafted to cover a broad range of topics. Specific doctors, professsors and departments have been chosen following firsthand experience working within the hospitals. This ensures you work with those doctors who are able to provide excellent communication and quality interaction between students, the medical team and of course the patients. You will also be honored with an introduction to some new and exciting schools of thoughts emerging out of Vietnam. Using a combination of the Medical 'I-ching' ( the book of changes), a  unique Pulse diagnosis method along with application of the five-phases points ( five transporting points), Luo-points, and xi-cleft points you can change the root of a disease – an inspiring treatment process delivered by a very special doctor.

You will be staying in the best area in the whole city with endless and very cheap dining options right on your doorstep. The beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake lies minutes away where you can join the locals each morning for their morning Tai Qi and Qi Gong, a wonderful way to start the day!
